The Ohio Steel 80-pound tow-behind broadcast spreader features 10-inch pneumatic wheels and a heavy-duty plastic hopper supported by a durable steel frame. It broadcasts a pattern up to 20 feet, thanks to its reliable self-lubricating nylon gears and a 10” four-fin impeller. Control and engagement are straightforward—while seated on your tractor, you can adjust the spread radius and turn the spreader on and off using the heavy-duty direct rod solid linkage controls. Each spreader includes patented dual material plates to cater to seasonal needs, making it the most versatile spreader on the market. The summer plate features a 3-hole drop mechanism and border control, allowing users to adjust material distribution on each side and completely close off the left side if desired. Utilizing the summer plate, this unit can spread grass seed, pelletized fertilizers, fine fertilizers, seed mulch, and more. The winter plate, with a single hole aperture, is effective for spreading winter materials like grit, road salt, and ice melt. It also includes directional controls to ensure accurate and safe delivery, keeping pathways safe and clear while protecting areas where these materials are not needed.
